Biomedical Research Awareness Day (BRAD)BRAD is a global initiative and a program from Americans for Medical Progress to help raise awareness about the critical role of animals in biomedical research breakthroughs. At UTEP Dr. Serafine helps to organize and host BRAD events each year.

Richard is a recent UTEP graduate who completed his doctoral studies in the laboratory of Dr. Bruce Cushing in Biological Sciences. Dr. Ortiz Jr. is now a postdoctoral research associate at New Mexico State University. |
